I've decided to try getting back into the gym, but I think I'm gonna have some problems with any exercises that are hard on the knees. A year ago I dislocated my left kneecap and its been in a weakened state ever since. Are there any alternatives to squats that can do the job until my knees reaches a point where they can handle squats again?

Just got back from first workout in a year.

Yea, the place has got horizontal leg press. My doctor sent me to a physical therapist, but all he told me was to slowly work up to doing squats to strenghten my knee overall. This is why I dont jump straight back into squats just to blow my knee out.

Look up matt wenning to save your knees. Warm up alot. 4x25 leg press 4x25 leg curl 4x25 hyperextentions 4x25 abs 4x25 glute bridges. Do this bedore trying to squat. Do these warmups for 4-6 weeks then just do squats without barbells

He then gave himself props for popularizing 5x5 training, even though it's been around since Reg Park's day. He also responds to people complaining that ICF 5x5 has too much volume by calling those people lazy, which is ironic when you consider how lazy Blaha is; he could never survive his own workout program, despite being on steroids, but that sure doesn't stop him from insulting natural lifters who can't handle it. Blaha's nuthuggers love to defend him by saying that they made good gains off "his" novice program, therefore he's a genius who knows what he's talking about. Well no shit you made good gains: You're a novice! You can run ANY novice program out there and double your bench press, triple your squat etc. within a year. It doesn't mean you're forever indebted to Blaha for it.

My teeth have gotten a little yellow over the years since middle school when games mattered more than school and thus hygiene, and in piss poor lighting I think they're British level, but with daily brushing (frequent, maybe not every day) you can get away with having a cavity for more than 3 years.

Use coconut or olive oil, put some 25ml in your mouth and swish it around for one hour. It might taste disgusting but it will melt after some minutes, don’t spit into your sink it will clog your drain.

Backstory is i've recently found some inner strength and discipline, and stopped pigging out. Over the last month i've lost 5KG by not eating absolute garbage anymore. Also i've started exercising at home every day.

As in:

>120 squats

>60 lunges

Anything i should be wary of or take into account to keep this trend going? As you might have guessed already i have zero previous experience on how to stay healthy other than the basic "move more, eat less"

I'm literally the same body type with the exacts same height and weight lol.

What really helped is to to eat a decent breakfast and then avoid eating much for the rest of the day.

Avoid bread/pasta and stick to eggs/meats/milk/veggies.

It's better to have a few small snacks over the course of your day than to have a big dinner where you fill yourself up.

Weekends are especially trying because the family comes together and we have a grand feast (everyone eats a lot at these).

Soups are your friend. Make'em, chuck them full of meats and veggies, also lots of beans and peas and stuff like that. I also take D-vitamin supplements.

I do that because I'm an unfit fattie and these seem ideal to build a solid foundation to move on from later on.

I also go jogging twice a week (typically tuesday and saturday).

I have nobody, I'm in college with no friends. I have friends at home and I used to work out with them and it was good, but I still felt like shit most of the time anyway. The worst part about today is after the gym I didn't feel anything, normally I feel good but today I just wasn't feeling it. I guess that just happens sometimes though.

Dreams kind of suck though. You wake up happy and realize it's not real and you feel like shit or you end up focusing on daydreaming rather than real life.

Hey /fit/izens, I absolutely need your help. I'm an all around fatass, but the one thing that bothers me the most and that has given me the hardest time is my goddamn love handles. I've tried a bunch of shit, both myself and via local gym (gym owner is a shitter though and the place lacks a ton of useful shit) to no avail. I'm fucking turning into a BBW trap over here. You can draw a goddamn perfect ellipse around my waist. Got any good way for me to drop them? I don't even really eat that much, but my diet is all kinds of fucked up because of my schedules and the fact I work almost exclusively on a desktop.

I assume that your goal isn't overall core strength, but just a e s t h e t i c s.

You won't get good obliques overnight. If you have significant bf%, you won't see your obliques no matter what you do, so fix your diet first.

Combine pic related with resistance band core rotations, some hanging leg raises and don't forget to do OHP, squats and deadlifts, and over a course of couple of months, if you have your diet right, you will have good obliques.

Honorable mentions - side hip raises, one arm lateral raises, uneven farmer's walk, and generally every other exercise, that you do only one sided, so your core is forced to stabilise you.
